Shark death fiancee ‘can’t return home’
THE fiancee of Brit diver Simon Nellist has been unable to return to their home since he was killed by a great white shark in Australia, a friend has said.
Jessie Ho was left “heartbroken and in shock” after former RAF serviceman Simon died on Wednesday.
Their wedding, postponed by the pandemic, had been due this year.
Simon’s parents Mike and Rosemary are believed to be flying out to comfort her. A pal said: “She’s struggling. We all are.”
Simon, 35, from Penzance, Cornwall, had been swimming at Sydney’s Little Bay. He was the first person killed in the area by a shark since the 1960s.
A “quiet reflection” was held yesterday at a nearby chapel as police continued the search for his remains.
