Beard to relish battle with Itoje

Irish Lions tour.

Wales’ second row was struck by Itoje’s attention to detail and his preparation before games when the pair toured South Africa together last summer. “It was great to see how these different second rows, like Maro, operated,” said Beard (left).

“He’s a great athlete, who prepares so well, and it would be good to go up against him again.”
