Ince in at Reading

PAUL INCE has been named interim manager at Reading after they sacked Veljko Paunovic – despite yesterday’s 3-2 win at Preston.

The Manchester United legend, whose son Tom is on loan at the club, will take charge alongside academy manager Michael Gilkes while the club searches for a permanent manager.

The Royals, who are fighting to avoid the the Championship drop, said in a statement: “Reading can confirm that the contract of first-team manager Veljko Paunovic has been terminated by mutual consent.”
