Fab is still a Toon fav
NEWCASTLE are ready to offer Fabian Schar a new contract.
The Swiss centre-back, a free agent this summer, could sign a pre-contract with an overseas club.
Schar, 30, was targeted by Napoli and Bordeaux in January, and AC Milan, Sevilla and Valencia have also shown interest.
Toon boss Eddie Howe is a big admirer of Schar — a £3million signing from Deportivo La Coruna — and Newcastle are lining up a new deal to keep him.
Defender Dan Burn joined from Brighton for £13m in January, but Newcastle are monitoring Lille’s Sven Botman, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Diego Carlos of Sevilla.
