LUTON boss Nathan Jones praised evergreen Cameron Jerome, as his side beat West Brom.

The 35-year-old netted his first league goal for the Hatters, supplied the second strike, and hit the post in the first half.

Luton are now within two points of the play-offs, and showed a fine response to their shock defeat at Birmingham.

Jones felt both Jerome and fellow striker Elijah Adebayo will be a problem for defenders. He said: “Cameron’s all-round play was excellent, and he was a threat – he should have scored in the first half. It was a great header for the opening goal.

“That’s why we brought him in, so that he challenges Elijah, but together they’re a handful.

“We’ve got to a point now where it’s not about the opposition, but about us. We concentrat­e on ourselves.”

Jerome hit the post at the end of the first half, before opening the scoring 10 minutes after the break when he connected with a Kai Naismith free-kick. Luton looked
