CHARLTON boss Johnnie Jackson has called on his side to show “character” after a third successive League One loss.

Matty Taylor’s double, Sam Baldock and Cameron Brannagan sealed Oxford a thumping win.

“It’s time to show a bit of character now. We’re back out here Tuesday and we have to put it right,”

Jackson said. “I’ll be looking at a reaction from our players. We have to look at the things that went wrong, but we haven’t got time to dwell on it.”

Karl Robinson (below), whose Oxford side moved up to fourth, said Taylor was fuming to be subbed off. “The combination between the two strikers was so important,” Robinson said. “The sending off meant I could bring off two players that we’re going to need on Tuesday.”
