Roman takes footie holiday
ROMAN Abramovich is giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable foundation “the stewardship and care” of the Premiership football club.
The Russian said they were in “the best position” to look after the club’s interests. It comes after MPs called for him to be sanctioned over his ties to Putin.
His statement read: “I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the club, whose job is ensuring we are as successful as we can be today as we build for the future.”
