Drivers fearful over fuel price

-

Drivers were urged not to panic buy yesterday after queues formed at some filling stations.

There are fears petrol will hit £1.55 a litre while diesel could reach £1.58 after Russia’s Ukraine invasion drove crude oil above $100 a barrel.

The Petrol Retailers Association said: “We’ve had reports of queuing – there is no shortage but we don’t want drivers to fill up unnecessarily.”

The Government faces calls to cut tax on fuel.
