Jail for shoe drug courier

A DRUGS courier tried to smuggle £280,000 worth of cocaine hidden in the soles of ladies shoes through Birmingham Airport.

Sam Peck, 44, of Dagenham, East London, was rumbled after getting off a flight from Jamaica.

Jailing him for five years, eight months, the judge at Birmingham crown court said drugs “destroyed lives”.
