Sign of times for Cromwell

THE earliest surviving signature of Oliver Cromwell is to go on show nearly 400 years after his death.

His name appears on 1627 property sale deeds.

Cambridgeshire county council is buying them for £5,000 and they will go on display at Huntingdon’s Cromwell Museum.
