CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN declared himself “one happy man” after making his return to football.

The 30-year-old came on as a 51st-minute replacement for Mathias Jensen in Brentford’s 2-0 defeat — just eight months after suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland.

Eriksen, the first Premier League player fitted with an

Everyone’s here: family, parents, kids, mother-in-law and doctors who helped me. What they’ve been through is tougher than what I went through.”

Brentford boss Thomas Frank said: “For everyone in football this was a big moment.”
