DANNY COWLEY bemoaned Portsmouth’s defending after they staged a dramatic comeback.

Substitute Aiden O’Brien rescued a point after a Ronan Curtis penalty and Marcus Harness effort had offered hope. Cowley said: “We were too soft in the first half. Defensively, our one-on-one just wasn’t good enough.”

Fleetwood’s goals came from Anthony Pilkington, Harrison Biggins and Paddy Lane and manager Stephen Crainey said: “Their penalty was a turning point.”
