Salford fume: We’re Sio ignored
QUIET dangerman Ken Sio will seek to wreak more havoc when Salford travel to Huddersfield.
The 31-year-old Aussie winger is in an incredibly rich vein of form, with six tries already in three games this season.
Last year’s top Super League try scorer now has a staggering career total for Salford running at 46 tries in 52 games.
And yet coach Paul Rowley is convinced Sio does not get the plaudits he deserves.
Rowley said: “I guess it’s the way people view the Salford team and club of recent times.
“It is our job to put our best foot forward and walk a bit taller and a bit prouder.
“Then maybe the headlines and attention will come on the back of that. But we need to earn that.
“Ken is a quiet achiever, but he has certainly earned that.
“It is up to the rest of us to step up and stand tall with him – and that’s what we intend to do.”
