I plumped to get the weight off
F1 CHAMPION Max Verstappen says he has worked hard to rid himself of the love handles he gained after celebrating his dramatic victory.
It was party central for the driver and his team in the wake of their dramatic win over Mercedes in Abu Dhabi. And while the overindulgence was understandable, the driver says he’s been working hard to shed a few pounds.
He said: “That Sunday night in Abu Dhabi was crazy, but total joy, too.
“Everyone on the team was emotional. It meant so much because we’ve been working together for so long. The next week I didn’t really have time to party. But at the beginning of January I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘I like good food, but I need to do something’.
“I was talking about getting rid of four kilos.
“It’s not like I had gained 10, but you could see the difference – I had some more love handles.
“When those pounds are off, you feel better, fresher and more motivated.”
