LEEDS LOOK TO DEAL WITH CROWD CRUSH

- BY DAVID LYNCH

LEEDS are set to release their report into the crowd safety concerns faced by Newcastle supporters during January’s visit to Elland Road next week.

Several Magpies fans reported crushes as they attempted to enter the stadium. Police commander for Leeds, Damien Miller, said: “We have worked with the club to support the review of the congestion.

“The club has identified issues, primarily around the operation of the turnstiles and ticketing, and has put measures in place which the Safety Advisory Group are satisfied with.”
