THE Russian football authorities think they have a serious case in their appeal against FIFA’s decision to expel their national men’s team from the 2022 World Cup and against UEFA’s decision to expel their national women’s team from this summer’s Euro 2022 competition in England.

And there might be some legal clauses that would appear to give them hope. But all legal clauses were wiped out when Vladimir Putin (above) fired his missiles and sent his tanks into Ukraine.
