EATING a Nordic diet of berries, oily fish, cabbage and beans can cut cholesterol and boost heart health, scientists found.
After six months, over50s on the diet in a study at Copenhagen University saw a drop in cholesterol and fats in their blood.
Until now, benefits of the diet had focused on losing weight.
Experts say a Nordic diet is more appropriate for our geography than following a Mediterranean diet.
