‘GALLAGHER AND FODEN ARE A FIT’
THEY go head to head tomorrow, but Phil Foden and Conor Gallagher can pal up to forge a dynamic duo for England.
That’s the message from Patrick Vieira as his
Crystal Palace prepare to host Manchester City.
The clash will showcase two of the country’s finest young attackers – with Eagles’ on-loan Chelsea man Gallagher (above), 22, facing City’s Foden, 21.
It’s likely both will be named on Thursday in Gareth Southgate’s new Three Lions squad. And
Vieira is adamant there is room for the pair to dazzle in the England side.
He said: “Good players can always play together – and both have that international potential.
“I didn’t work with Phil at City – he was really young. But there was always talk about him. He was the ‘next big thing’.
“Conor has made his success differently, by going on loan. He can score more goals yet, he has that hunger in the box.
“Phil’s a different player, but both score and create.”
