Reds hunt Isak deal for £60m

- BY HARRY PRATT

MANCHESTER UNITED have entered the race for Real Sociedad ace Alexander Isak.

The Reds, seemingly resigned to losing out to Manchester City over Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, are now turning their attention to Isak instead.

They believe the Swede, 22, is the next best option in the current market – and represents decent value for money.

The Spanish club value Isak, who has scored eight times in all competitions this term, at around the £60million mark.

The hitman’s record since joining Sociedad is impressive, with 30 league goals in 90 La Liga games since his arrival from Dortmund two years ago.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to blow close to £75m on Isak, while Liverpool are also keen.

Isak has made it clear he only wants to move to a club competing among Europe’s elite.
