LEAM RICHARDSON was disappointed Wigan could not hang on for victory.
Tom Naylor broke the deadlock just before the hour mark but Harry Darling’s (below) 88th-minute header ensured MK Dons were level on points with Wigan at the final whistle.
“I thought it was tough, it was tight,” Richardson said.
“From a neutral point of view, it would have been a good game to watch tactically. From a chances created point of view, probably not such a good game.
“It was always going to take something special, or a set-piece, or a mistake to prove decisive. I thought we deserved to go in front, having worked hard enough to limit them. We’re disappointed to concede from a set play.”
Home manager Liam Manning said: “You look at the players, the spirit, the togetherness, the resilience, the grit, the things that are really important in terms of foundations of a team.”
