Lag escaped after dummy fooled guard
A SEX offender escaped an open prison after stuffing items in his bed to make it appear he was still in it.
A judge heard Paul Robson left his cell late on February 13, then took a prison bicycle and rode off before sleeping in a barn.
Stefan Fox, prosecuting, said: “An officer was unable to get a response from what he thought was Robson under the duvet.”
Robson, 56, was given a life term in 2000 after sexually assaulting and attempting to rape a woman at knifepoint.
Judge Hirst sentenced Robson to eight months’ jail after Robson pleaded guilty to the breakout from HMP North Sea Camp in Boston, Lincs.
