According to the Charity Commission, around 39% of all UK charities have an annual income of under £10,000. The vast majority (almost 70%) have an income below £100,000. There are around 168,000 registered charities in the UK supporting good causes.

It is estimated that more than 21 million volunteers help charities each year. Since the pandemic, 84% of charities have reported a reduction in their income.

If a higher rate taxpayer donates £60 via Gift Aid, the charity will receive £100.
