Romain right up for Le Cup

- By ALEX CROOK

SOUTHAMPTON defender Romain Perraud is dreaming of becoming the latest Frenchman to win the FA Cup.

Perraud’s fellow countrymen Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira are among those to have lifted the famous trophy.

The 24-year-old full-back (right) said: “Wow, that is an amazing list! We are excited because now everything is possible. The FA Cup can be an objective for us.

“I never won a trophy in my young career. It is too early to speak about this, but we can dream.

“We have good young players, a good squad and the team spirit is very good.” Saints boss Ralph

Hasenhuttl said: “The players are ready for this game and the guys who offer me the most will get the chance to play.

“You play at home, you always have pressure because you want to play a good game and show your fans you are able to compete.

“It’s a tough draw for us – but, hopefully, for City as well.”
