Sutton 1 Tranmere 1
MICKY MELLON was frustrated that Tranmere left Sutton with a single point. Rovers needed a secondhalf Josh Hawkes (left) equaliser to secure a draw after defender Ben Goodliffe had put the hosts ahead.
“We’re disappointed we didn’t win the game in the end,” admitted Mellon. “It was a game of two halves. We didn’t start the game too well in the first half, but we performed much better in the second half.
“It’s frustrating, but we need to move on now.” Sutton boss Matt Gray said: “It’s another good point, as I keep saying if you can’t win then you’ve got to make sure you don’t lose.”
