RICHIE WELLENS hailed Paul Smyth’s spectacular equaliser after Leyton Orient rallied to beat Rochdale.

Orient fell behind to

Alex Newby’s sixth-minute strike but Smyth levelled from long range five minutes before half-time and Ruel Sotiriou and Harry Smith wrapped up a comeback win.

“The goal from Paul Smyth was a special equaliser and a turning point,” said Orient boss Wellens.

Rochdale manager Robbie Stockdale said:

“It wasn’t good enough.”
