Salford 5 Scunthorpe 1
BRANDON THOMAS-ASANTE’S first career hat-trick helped Salford record their biggest EFL win. Matt Smith and Stephen Kelly also scored while Joe Nuttall bagged for Scunthorpe.
Salford assistant manager Billy Barr said: “This is a great run we are on of eight unbeaten, and it’s great to get our highest EFL result.”
Scunthorpe assistant Tony McMahon said: “It’s really, really disappointing, especially after coming back into the game at 2-1.”
