MATT TAYLOR did not enjoy watching his Exeter side’s win over lowly Oldham. Kyle Taylor and Jevani Brown scored to take them second. But the visitors had Nigel Atangana sent off and needed Cameron Dawson to save Sam Hart’s spot-kick at 1-0.

Boss Matt Taylor (right) said: “It was a pretty brutal game to watch. We were far from our best, so this has been a big three points for us.”

Oldham manager John Sheridan said: “It’s another tough one to take. “In the first half you wouldn’t have known who was the top or the bottom team. It was very tight, and possibly we had the better chances.”
