Britain shows its true colours

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

ANTI-war protestors march through London draped in Ukraine’s yellow and blue.

More than 150,000 people from across the UK joined the march yesterday. Banners read “stop Putin’s war” and “no fly zone”.

They chanted: “We stand with Ukraine”. A rally at Trafalgar Square heard speeches from Emma Thompson, Labour MP David Lammy and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

On a big screen, ex-boxer and Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko told the crowds: “Please keep together with our country.”

Zenadin Tkalenko, 43, from Kyiv but living in Croydon, South London, said: “Putin is a monster who needs to be stopped.”
