‘Record’ rise predicted in house sales
THE property market is set to be the busiest “for decades” next month with house sales predicted to rise by almost 40% since the same time last year.
New figures reveal that the number of homes on the market rose by 36% last month compared to February last year.
According to the National Association of Property Buyers, last April 144,737 homes were listed for sale, but founder Jonathan Rolande said: “All the data indicates that next month is going to see a real boom in transactions.
“I predict we could see record numbers of houses being put up for sale as people try to benefit from the continued increase in house prices.
“We are anticipating the busiest April in decades.”
