HEARTBROKEN DAD IS NOYE’S LATEST VICTIM

Death of father haunted by son’s M25 road rage murder

- BY DAN WARBURTON

THE haunted father of Kenneth Noye’s road rage victim has died suddenly – tormented by the killing to his final days.

Kenneth Cameron never got over the stabbing of his son Stephen, 21, on the M25 in 1996.

A source said Kenneth, 75, was the latest victim of the gangster, adding: “Noye has Kenneth’s blood on his hands.

“It is the final tragic chapter in the story of the Cameron family whose lives were torn apart by the senseless killing of Stephen.”

Kenneth was found at his retirement home in Ashford, Kent, and pronounced dead at the William Harvey Hospital on March 15.

His wife Toni, 73, had died in 2016 after scratching her arm on a bush and catching a superbug.

Her ashes were buried in Stephen’s grave and grieving Kenneth said at the time: “They were so close in life it seemed right to put them together in death.”

The source added: “Kenneth never got over Stephen’s death but it got worse when Toni died.

“Noye didn’t physically kill Kenneth in the same way he did Stephen, but the impact of what he did haunted him and Noye has notched up another victim, even though this time he didn’t use a knife.”

Noye became Britain’s most wanted man after he stabbed Stephen on an M25 slipway and went on the run. He was arrested two years later in Spain, was jailed for life in 1999 – and was freed 20 years later.

In 2020 Noye was seen at the M-way interchange in Swanley, Kent, where he stabbed Stephen.

SICKENED

Heartbroken Kenneth said at the time: “It’s like Noye’s walking on Stephen’s grave. I feel sickened that he has gone back to the place where he took my son’s life.”

The source said: “Noye’s release broke Kenneth’s heart, it brought it all back and he could never understand the injustice.”

Noye previously served 14 years for handling gold bullion from the £26.3million Brink’s-Mat robbery at Heathrow in 1983.

He was still on licence when he murdered Stephen in May 1996.

Stephen’s girlfriend Danielle Cable – just 17 when she witnessed the killing – was flown out to identify Noye after he fled to Barbate, on the Costa del Sol.

She is still under the witness protection scheme.

Noye, 74, had previously been cleared of killing undercover policeman John Fordham on grounds of self-defence.

He made the same claim in relation to Stephen, but jurors convicted him of murder.

An inquest into Kenneth’s death is set for June and it is understood his funeral will be after Easter.
