Covid kills off cash machines

-

The number of cash withdrawals from ATMs dropped by 43% in the first 12 months of the pandemic.

However, the average amount withdrawn increased from £67 to £84, according to Link.

The reduced demand means there are currently 4,000 fewer free ATM machines in operation than this time last year. ■■Women with dependent children are seven times more likely to work part-time than men, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Research published by insurance and pensions firm Scottish Widows shows that the average women in her 20s today will retire with £100,000 less in her pension pot than her male peers.
