Pilot escape as plane hits block of flats
A PILOT was in hospital last night after his light aircraft crashed into a block of flats.
The plane hit the empty block in Upper Heyford, near Bicester, Oxon, at around noon yesterday.
A passerby walking her dog said she saw the pilot jump out and parachute down before the crash.
The village is home to an RAF base but it is not thought a military plane is involved.
Thames Valley Police said: “The light aircraft crashed into an unoccupied block of flats.
“The pilot has suffered several injuries and has been taken to hospital. No one else is injured.”
