Oligarchs weep for lost lifestyle

- BY DOMINIK LEMANSKI

MEGA-RICH Russians living in a British billionaires’ row have been left in tears after sanctions wrecked their lifestyle.

Putin cronies on Surrey’s St George’s Hill estate have disgusted staff with outrageous spending for years.

Now a whistleblower has told how a couple were stranded in Dubai when their cards were cancelled. Others wept when they were unable to order luxury gear or pay for private jets – or even taxis.

She said: “Just before the war, one of the families paid £24,000 to fly a live crab and some black caviar from Moscow to London on a private jet – for a party.

“That’s all changing now. It’s good to see them having to adjust to their new place in the world.”
