Couples’ No1 beef is about roast dinner
ROAST dinners cause more arguments than any other meal, says a study.
One in four couples admit to bust-ups over which meat or veg to have and how to cook them.
Arguments often centre around whether to make it all from scratch or just buy a ready-made meal.
Some insist on parboiling potatoes then sticking them in the fridge for an hour before roasting – while others settle for frozen roasties.
Gravy and Yorkshire puds were also a battleground over whether to make your own and risk making a mess.
The Sainsbury’s poll of 1,000 couples also found that most relied on takeaways or the microwave for a romantic meal rather than cooking from fresh.
