Freezing beast for Easter
IF these hardy souls are dreaming of a white Easter they could be in luck.
Wintry conditions have been a shock to the system after the sunniest March in nearly a century – and bookies have shortened the odds on snow at Easter. Swimmers in gloves and hats braved the waves at King Edward’s Bay in Tynemouth.
Meanwhile skiers hit the slopes at Lecht Ski Centre at the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands.
The Met Office said: “It’s not that unusual to see snow around Easter.”
