Cluttered house would put off 66% of hoarder buyers
OVER half of households have a room which is too cluttered to use.
But even though a huge 56% admitted this applied to them, even more – 66% – said they wouldn’t consider buying a house if it looked a mess.
Some 30% said the spare room was unusable, according to research carried out by waste removal company HIPPO. Another 22% said their garage was full up, and 21% admitted not being able to get into their loft.
A quarter said they would like to declutter but can’t face it, and 33% said they lack the time. HIPPO surveyed 3,034 adults for its research.
Dilly Carter, of TV’s Sort Your Life Out With Stacey Solomon, said: “I firmly believe that if we all cut the clutter, live better with less and give ourselves more headspace, we will enjoy life more.”
