Buttler serves up century

JOS BUTTLER hit the first century of this season’s Indian Premier League yesterday.

The England wicket-keeper smashed 100 off 68 to help Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by 23.

Buttler’s blitz included 11 fours and five sixes before he was finally dismissed by India paceman Jasprit Bumrah.

England T20 bowler Tymal Mills weighed in with 3-35 as Rajasthan posted 193-8 – as five-time champions Mumbai fell well short.

Indians captain Rohit Sharma admitted: “Buttler played an exceptional innings.

“We tried everything we could to get him out.”
