Boy, 14, dead after scuba dive disaster
THE British father of a teenage boy missing from a scuba dive trip in Malaysia has confirmed his son is dead.
Adrian Peter Chesters, 46, was rescued yesterday after three days at sea when fishermen spotted him and another diver, 18-year-old Frenchwoman Alexia Alexandra Molina.
Both were last night in a stable condition in hospital as the search for the body of Nathen, 14, continued.
Shell engineer Adrian confirmed his son was dead after the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency said he “was too weak and couldn’t survive”.
The boat operator who took the group to the dive site with instructor Kristine Grodem was detained after testing positive for drugs.
