Company awards mum who gave sick colleague a kidney
A WOMAN who gave a colleague a kidney has been given an award for an “outstanding act of kindness and selflessness” by her bosses.
Ninon Ferguson, 36, helped Stuart Middleton after a transplant he received from his mother failed.
The Edinburgh mum said: “I did it for his two young sons. My son is the same age as his eldest,
SELFLESS and when I heard I couldn’t bear imagining his sons losing a dad.”
She works for energy firm Intergen, whose financial controller David Bogie said: “It takes something special to give a part of you to a work colleague.”
Stuart, 46, said he was incredibly lucky and described her generosity as “incomprehensible”. He said: “I don’t think there are many colleagues who would do this.”
Over 100 Brits a year donate a kidney to a stranger.
