999 trust now ranked worst in the country
AN ambulance trust put into “special measures” in 2020 has just been ranked worst in the country for staff morale as well as response times.
It comes after the board at the East of England ambulance service has expanded from six to nine, most of whom are paid £110,000 to £145,000.
Watchdogs found bosses failed to deal with cases of bullying two years ago, but the latest survey shows little improvement.
Essex MP Anna Firth says she is “truly shocked by the poor performance”.
East of England ambulance’s Tom Abell said: “The results show we have more to do.”
