Health kicks can leave us feeling sick
PRESSURE to get healthier is making people feel ill, researchers claim.
Half quizzed in a survey felt worse after trying wellness trends designed to make them feel better.
And nine out of 10 felt guilty for not taking wellness fads seriously.
Three-quarters of people who tried health breaks thought them a waste of money. And a third said trends like prancercise – walking like a horse – were a waste of time.
The research by hotel chain Tui Blue found a brisk walk, a nice meal with a glass of wine or lots of sunshine were considered more effective in promoting wellbeing.
