JOSH: I’M GOING INTO BATT IN USA

-

BY ROSS HEPPENSTALL JOSH WARRINGTON wants Leeds United legend David Batty alongside him when he goes Stateside, after winning back his IBF featherweight title.

Last month the ‘Leeds Warrior’ knocked out Spain’s Kiko Martinez in round seven to become a twotime IBF featherweight champion.

Warrington (right) said: “A massive away-day is calling now and I’d like to go to Las Vegas or New York.

There are still big fights out there for me.

“You’ve got the likes of Leo Santa Cruz, Emanuel Navarrete and Mark Magsayo, so I’d love to take my fans to America.”

Warrington likes his belt carried into the ring by Elland Road legends, such as Dominic Matteo, and added: “I’ve had Dom from that era of reaching the Champions League semifinals. I’d love David to do it in the

USA.”
