TUI LOLOHEA’S classy display fired Huddersfield into the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup – a competition they last won in 1953.

The Tonga international joined the Giants from Salford during the offseason to become reunited with his former Red Devils boss Ian Watson.

And together they are proving an ominous force with Lolohea last night enjoying an outstanding game at full-back by creating one try and scoring another.

The hosts opened the scoring when centre Ricky Leutele showed impressive strength to burst over and Lolohea booted the conversion and a penalty soon after.

Hull replied in the 27th minute when Joe Lovodua touched down a teasing grubber kick but the Giants hit back five minutes later when Lolohea’s clever punt was pounced on by Chris McQueen.

After the break Andre Savelio powered over for Hull, but then Lolohea collected Luke Yates’s superb offload and scampered clear of a leaden-footed defence to seal the Giants’ place in today’s draw.
