Ince asked to stay on

PAUL INCE has been offered the manager’s job at Reading.

The former England skipper has been asked if he wants to continue in the role next season after meeting with the Royals’ hierarchy.

The caretaker has been in charge since February 20 and has pulled Reading clear of the drop zone.

But he is after guarantees he will be able to make changes both on and off the pitch before he commits his future.

Reading will have a huge turnover of players this summer with more than a dozen out of contract, including highly-rated playmaker John Swift.
