MATT GRAY hailed Sutton’s character. United bounced back from their Papa John’s Trophy final defeat as Joe Kizzi headed the winner.

Gray said: “After last week and how much we put into it, to come straight back into a tough league game I’m really pleased.”

Orient boss Richie Wellens said: “I’m frustrated that we’ve lost the game.”
