ROB EDWARDS welcomed Forest Green moving a step closer closer to promotion.

A draw with Hartlepool left Rovers five points clear at the top – and 10 ahead of fourth. Regan Hendry gave the hosts the lead but Omar Bogle responded.

“After going 1-0 up and on the balance of play I’m disappointed, but the bottom line is we’re one point closer,” manager Edwards said.

Hartlepool boss Graeme Lee said: “Forest Green are the best team in the league so to get a point at a place like this is a decent result.”
