Choccies still make me a happy bunny
I’m feeling a little nostalgic because this is the first year I haven’t been asked by one of my kids to make an Easter bonnet for school.
This ritual for me captures the season. In the past, I’ve scoured charity shops for straw hats and then decorated them with tons of Easter trimmings.
I’ve then sent the kids, adorned in their bonnets, off to school in the hope that they might win a prize.
Sadly, they never did – I was always out-created by a more competitive parent.
I miss those days but, even though my children are now 11 and 14 and think they are too cool for Easter bonnets, they still “believe” in the Easter Bunny.
So I’ll send them out into the garden for an egg hunt. And hope that they don’t find them all… so there are some that get left behind for me.
Happy
Easter.
