April 1 saw the arrival of Paris’s newest boutique hotel with the opening of Pavillon Faubourg SaintGermain on the Left Bank in the heart of the creative and artistic neighbourhood of Saint-Germaindes-Pres. Housed in three buildings dating back to the 17th century, the 47-room hotel features new restaurant Les Parisiens, presided over by one of the French capital’s most exciting and innovative chefs, the awardwinning Thibault Sombardier.
Next to the restaurant, the James Joyce Bar, named in homage to the novelist who finished Ulysses when he stayed on the site over a hundred years ago, serves signature cocktails inspired by the Irish writer’s works.
