Big treat for sports fans

A vast celebration of sport has opened up in World Cup host nation Qatar’s capital Doha.

The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, one of the largest of its kind on the planet at 204,500 sq ft, is by the Khalifa International Stadium, a main match venue.

Consisting of seven galleries, it contains artefacts from around the globe which take visitors on an interactive journey through the history and legacy of global sports, the Olympics and the context and role of sports in Qatar, which is the first nation in the Middle East to host the World Cup.
