Utd fans in Glazer protests

-

hat-trick again rescued United and kept their faint Champions League hopes alive as both Tottenham and Arsenal were beaten.

And Paul Pogba was singled out for abuse after he was replaced with loud cheers and ‘F*** off

Pogba’ chants.

But United boss Ralf Rangnick condemned the booing and said: ”I can understand the fans are frustrated, so are we, but I don’t think they should take it out on individual players. I don’t think that is right or correct.”

But, while this protest was peaceful and on a small scale, intelligence gathered by Greater Manchester Police has uncovered intent to create bigger disruption in the closing weeks of the season.

Security has been stepped up at the homes of players and key club officials, including new chief executive officer Richard Arnold, who could be a target.

A United spokesman last night said: “We respect the right of fans to voice their opinions peacefully and we will continue to listen to them.”
